About The Artist

Marcell Marias

Marcell MariasI'm a multi-disciplinary artist aiming to use sculpture, visual media, music, and sound to enhance personal and public environments. Originally from Hungary, I immigrated to the US and have traveled extensively, imbibing the art, music and culture of several countries. My artistic works reflect this global experience, as I strive to engage the community in respect for fellow humans, animals, and our Earth.

My interest in the visual started early with painting and photography, but quickly progressed toward video, where I was able to paint with pixels and incorporate music into engaging media. Fast forward a few decades and I find myself bringing sculptural objects to life with the use of LEDs and Video Projection Mapping. My sculpture company Lunaglow is dedicated to sustainable and unique modern sculpture.

Music is a very big part of my life, and I have produced several album releases and remixes on several labels including Uniting Souls Records, Munchies After Dark, and The Seed. I've performed live in the US, Canada and Europe, and my collaborations with artists Henta and David Miles Huber have garnered credits on their Grammy-Nominated albums. Several film and video soundtrack credits point to my love of synthesizing the sonic and visual.

My formal education came from State University of New York with a BA in Sociology and Video. I've also earned a Certificate of Audio Production, Sound for Film/Video concentration, from the University of Washington.
